Cocktail photography is a complicated task with setting up proper lights and the set, tweaking the drinks. Portrait photography needs you to build the connection with your model. Try combining both, while adding high expectations and time restrictions, and you get a perfect task for Egghead Studio. 15 minutes for setup, followed by 15 minutes for the picture of the drink and the portrait of the bartender, then teardown and moving to the next bar to repeat everything from scratch – that’s what we did with Geo Valdivieso of Camus cognac, and managed to shoot all 7 drinks and 7 bartenders in 7 bars around town in one evening.
